you are: Abstsizovaja stress acid-hormone
In the beginning of this chapter we named ABK ' a stress hormone ' that well characterises its all-round role in a plant. Usually it is formed in reply to a stressful situation or adverse conditions and in turn changes a plant, adapting it for these conditions. such reactions a vivid example - fast synthesis ABK in reply to water stress, i.e. A water lack (fig. 10.14). When the plant has not enough water, maintenance ABK increases at once in leaves. Formed ABK operates then on closing cages, ' extorting ' from them water that ustitsa could be closed quickly. It occurs much faster than in the event that ustitsa would be closed owing to the general dehydration of a plant (fig. 10.15). As we saw in gl. 6, movement ustits is caused by moving of ions To + in closing cages and back. Role ABK consists in this process that she compels ions To + to leave closing cages therefore ustitsa are closed. in sheet with closed ustitsami water losses decrease, and consequently the plant transfers the droughty period is better. Other stressful influences to which the sheet is exposed, for example low temperature, too can lead to synthesis ABK and closing ustits. If water starts to arrive again in a plant in enough ustitsa open not at once as some time for decrease in maintenance ABK is necessary. When it occurs, kaly is again transported in closing cages and ustitsa open.
There are many other examples of participation ABK in change of growth of plants, however in them is not traced any general law. The exception makes one process which often occurs in reply to adverse conditions. For example, plants of one grade of a string bean blossom normally at a short bottom, but dump the developed kidneys in the conditions of long day. it can be connected with increase in maintenance ABK in plants at their cultivation at a long bottom. Adverse influence of long day, perhaps, is caused by that it promotes formation otdelitelnogo a layer under a kidney.
